Corrections policy

We correct the record when we get something wrong — clearly and as quickly as we can.

Policy

If Saginaw Front Page publishes an error of fact — wrong name, date, title, quote, figure, or other material fact — we correct the article and note the change when the error is substantive.

  • Corrections fix factual errors that affect meaning.
  • Clarifications add context when wording was incomplete or confusing but not strictly false.
  • Updates add new developments; they are labeled when they change the story after publication.

How we handle it

  1. Editors review the claim against reporting and source materials.
  2. The story is corrected in place when an error is confirmed.
  3. For substantive errors, we add an editor’s note describing what was wrong and what was corrected.
  4. Social posts that spread an error are corrected or withdrawn when practical.

Request a correction

Email admin@saginawfrontpage.news or use the contact form (choose “Correction / clarification”). Include the article link, the incorrect text, and the correct information with a source if you have one.
